Argassi resort is a nice tourist resort located 4 km south east of Zakynthos Town, covered by the mountain of Skopos. This area is very popular among tourists and attracts many visitors every year.

Argasi beach consists of many small bays, equipped with many snack bars in the greenness, and the waters here partly hide the ancient ruins of a Roman bridge. The beach is a narrow strip stretching over 1km along the coast and many of the hotels and accommodation are built close by.
The Domenegini Tower is dated since the 15th century. Is inextricably linked to the National Liberation Struggle of 1821. It was there that meetings of the Friendly Society members were held and from this place, Theodoros Kolokotronis departed aboard an “aique” boat to launch the revolution in the Peloponnese.
Argassi Bridge is built at the outfall of a river and is today ruined, located 10 meters from the seashore, in the small harbor of Argassi. Almost half of the bridge, which used to be part of the main road, is now resting on the shore and the other half is immersed in the sea. The bridge was originally constructed in 1885 and consists of three arches.
The church of Panagia Skopiotissa can be found on top of mount Skopos –also named after it– 2km from Argassi. The snow-white church, in crosswise style with dome, was built in 1624 and stands to this day on the ruins of an old monastery, which is thought to have been built in the place of the much older temple of Artemis.
